Featured article, or so-called op-ed (Kronik) in Borsen: Recipe for stronger growth in Denmark: How to establish a large and healthy IPO market in Denmark

By learning from the Swedish success formula and with a fundamental change in the approach previously seen in Denmark it is possible to establish a thriving IPO market for small companies in Denmark in the coming years. The formula is simple: Make sure that:
a) the quality of the IPO company is strong and able to deliver on promises (real business with great upside),
b) the pricing of the offering is modest (defined for value-growth beyond the listing) and
c) the key people are credible value-drivers (strong track-record, locked up and long term incentivised).
This way 10.000’s of Danish jobs can be created and 100.000’s of private Danish investors can start harvesting the fruits of the value creation in 100’s of Danish companies, that can be #1 and dominate their industries and become the large companies that drive future value creation in Denmark. Let’s not repeat the mistakes of the past: don’t allow companies that could not otherwise raise funds to go public and avoid win-lose situations where the company wins by getting in capital while the investors lose by having purchased a poor performing share.
